ABOUT

Brigid is a playable character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. She joins Sigurd's army after her crew mutinies against her and reunites with her long-lost twin, Edain of Yngvi. She possesses the major bloodline of the Crusader Ulir, making her the only person of her generation able to wield the holy bow Yewfelle. She is in her early twenties, about five five, with long blond hair that is either loose or loosely tied back.

Personality

Although she was born to be a great lady, Brigid of Yngvi was raised to be a pirate. She doesn't mince words for any reason and expects the world to be harsh; when she first met Sigurd of Chalphy she assumed he wanted to cut her down for being an infamous raider and told him as much. She expects brutality from the world because she grew up witnessing and experiencing it. She rarely hesitates in taking the most direct course of action even if that course is a violent one; she has little compunctions about shooting down her mutinous crew when they attempt to kill her and quickly decides to kill her long-lost brother when she learns he murdered their father.

That said, Brigid maintains a powerful sense of honor and justice. As a captain she committed only to plundering ships that could afford the loss and gave many of her spoils to people in need. She has a disgust for people who use their strength to oppress those weaker than themselves. On learning that she was the daughter of a noble house and inheritor of Crusader blood, Brigid added that to her view of herself as an honorable, just individual and fights to uphold the name of House Yngvi as well.

With that knowledge came a sense of insecurity that she'd never had before. Brigid is delighted to have a twin sister and a family... but that twin is everything that Brigid isn't: kind, elegant, and easy to love. Brigid isn't sure how a coarse pirate like her fits in with the highminded knights and nobles that head Sigurd's army. Two of the men who can fall in love with her were attracted to Edain first, and Brigid worries that she's being treated as a second prize, and she asks them bluntly if that's the case before their final battle.

Skills

Brigid's weapon in Genealogy is a bow and arrow. As a pirate, she is also able to use a sword (as she does later when she becomes Eyvel).

Brigid is also the carrier of the major Holy Blood of her family's lineage, that of the Crusader Ulir. Being the major descendant of Ulir enables her to wield the holy bow Yewfelle, which increases her strength and speed. Yewfelle also heals Brigid by a small degree each time she fires it.
